Last year’s Alcatel OneTouch did an amazing job at selling a solid product with the Idol 3. Great specs, great design and a great price tag were enough to land a solid place as one of our favorite devices to recommend for 2015. Fast Forward to 2016, switch the company name to just Alcatel, and along came the Idol 4 that made a ton of headlines at MWC, but yes, we’ve been waiting since MWC.

Clove has just announced that it has received stock of the Alcatel Idol 4, along with the VR headset that it was announced with, and yes, shipping begins right away. £229 including VAT will land you a SIM free Idol 4 that sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 617 processor along with other specs that have the device shine in the premium-midrange category. That said, once you touch the build quality that we experienced at MWC, along with the speaker system, and the Idol 4 is definitely in a league of its own.

You bet our review will come along shortly to help you decide.
