Just this morning, we had supply chain sources tipping the media off to a March Apple event that would, in part, support the evolution of AirPods hardware. Rumor was the AirPods would get their sequel, a wireless charging case for said AirPods would surface and the long-delayed AirPwoer wireless charging mat would debut on March 29.

But according to an untested “but seemingly reliable source” to Steve Hemmerstoffer of @OnLeaks, it may be that the AirPods 2 — and its new colors  — won’t be launched until fall, even as the new wireless charging case would be coming “soon.”

Some #AirPods2 details I got from a new and yet unconfirmed but seemingly reliable source. Thus, I can’t vouch these at 100%…

So, we’re left with less certainty than we began with on what Apple will do. How we wouldn’t have it any other way.
