Acer Unveils Budget beTouch E210 QWERTY Android Smartphone

Acer has unveiled a low-end, budget Android handset at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show, the beTouch E210 which, despite of all the new and benchmark-breaking smartphones shown off, is an affordable BlackBerry-like device.

Powered by a 416MHz processor, the beTouch sports 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 2.6-inch QVGA display and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It also features a full QWERTY keyboard plus a D-Pad to compliment the four Android specific buttons (Home, Menu, Back and Search) in addition to Call Start and Call End. It runs Google’s Android 2.2. Froyo operating system and it will be available, at least in the U.K., starting March 11, in two color flavors: light silver and shiny black.
