With the occasion of announcing several laptops and ultrabooks at CES, Acer also brought to the stage a brand new tablet which will be known as the Acer Iconia Tab A700. The Asus Transformer Prime is no longer the only one out there with nVidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core CPU.

According to reports, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 will be powered by the 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 SoC and sport a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The 9.8mm thick housing is also home to usual suspects like WiFi, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, and HDMI port.

Expect the Acer Iconia Tab A700 running Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich sometime around the second quarter of the year. We’ll let you know of exact details as soon as we hear them.
