Cheap Android: that is what the Acer Liquid is. It’s nearly $100 cheaper than the Google Nexus One, making it one of the more affordable unlocked Android devices that you can buy. And on paper, it’s no slouch. Like the Nexus One, it rocks the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU (but clocks at 768MHz instead of 1GHz), so it should offer great performance. Also, it has the UMTS 1900 band, meaning that most people in the US on AT&T will be able to get 3G (the Nexus One can do just EDGE on AT&T).
We’ve got a lot more coming up on the Acer Liquid, including a thorough look at hardware and software. If you want an Acer Liquid of your own, they are now shipping over at Clove.
P.S. If the Liquid S100 looks familiar to a device you saw us review previously, it’s because the S100 has a Windows Mobile counterpart, the S200.
