Acer Iconia Tab A200 Getting Android Ice Cream Sandwich Update

By Anton D. Nagy February 13, 2012, 3:15 am

The Acer Iconia Tab A200 — which is available since last month at Best Buy for a fair price — is reportedly getting update notifications and the new over-the-air update seems to bring Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich to the tablet.

The new version numbers are allegedly as follows: 2.6.39.4+ for Kernel, Acer_AV401_A200_1.0.019.00_PA_CUS1 for build number and Acer_AV041_A200_RV01RC02_PA_CUS1 for Image version. Not all users seem to receive the update though; you might need to manually check for its existence and keep your fingers crossed. According to reports, the version which is rolling out is different than the one leaked recently. If you've got the refresh on your Iconia Tab A200, drop us a few words in the comments below.
