The ASUS ZenFone 2 is available is so many options that it is sometimes hard to keep track, but it’s definitely a good thing, as the company is able to offer something for everyone. And, given the cutthroat competition in the mid-range smartphone market (especially around the $300 price tag), OEMs are constantly striving to differentiate, bring something new or different to the table.
The diamond/crystal inspired pattern on the ASUS ZenFone 2 above might not be your thing, but the carbon-fiber look of the same phone below might be. And, even if both aren’t, you should still seriously consider this phone if you’re looking for huge on-board storage. ASUS has just announced a ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition, which, in addition to bringing 4GB of RAM, bumps the storage up to a whopping 256GB (in addition to the 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13MP/5MP PixelMaster cameras, 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor and 4G/LTE connectivity).
Sadly, here’s the not so good part: at the moment, this 256GB smartphone has only been announced for Brazil (alongside ZenFone 2, ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Selfie), and there’s no word on availability for other markets just yet.
