Hewlett-Packard, the largest maker of personal computers, will only go with the Intel chip (at least at the beginning) for its Windows tablets.
Google managed to generate a lot of buzz with its first, pure-Nexus tablet which they have unveiled at this year’s I/O. Pre-orders are early indicators of success and we’ve already unboxed the slate — and, as you might suspect, a full review is coming shortly.
Google has posted the full OS factory image for the Nexus 7. This is particularly useful for power users; since it’s a Nexus device, customization, tweaking and hacking will be activities to which the tablet will be surely exposed. Having a factory image handy means that, in case anything goes [...]
The T-Mobile Galaxy Note could now be arriving in August, along with the Samsung Cacao and Apex Q.
HTC has tweeted that 'Incredible' fun is coming next week, apparently confirming the rumored Droid Incredible 4G LTE July 5 retail launch.
Coming right on the heels of its injunction against the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Apple has secured a similar victory over Samsung's Galaxy Nexus.
Google is opening some new Wallet APIs to developers, but will the changes be enough to get more users started making payments with the system?
Samsung releases a statement explaining its plans to announce which models will be seeing Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates.
Android really needed a Nexus tablet. With the exception of the Transformer and Transformer Prime, all Android tablets so far have been pretty bad. We can say this because we’ve used them all (more or less). Whether it’s a laggy interface, poor app selection, or bad hardware, Android tablets are still miles behind in a race that Apple is unequivocally winning.
The Nexus 7 just might change that. It’s got Jelly Bean, an operating system that attempts to (and succeeds at) make Android lag a thing of the past. It offers a thin and light form factor only possible [...]
Jelly Bean has a hidden surprise in its About screen, just like Gingerbread and ICS.
Users in Germany have spotted Tango becoming available for their unlocked Dell Venue Pros; when will the rest of us see it?

Back when Windows Phone was first released in late 2010, of course there was a Twitter app available, but no one ever bothered to set up the server-side option for pushing live tiles or notifications for twitter activity like mentions, direct messages, or anything. That made room for a whole host of 3rd party Twitter apps that were much more functional with all the Twitter functions you’d expect. Today we finally see an update to the official Twitter app that finally brings push notifications for direct messages, mentions, new follows, favorited tweets, and retweets. Above you [...]
So far we've seen Google's latest running on the Galaxy Nexus but the HTC One X is already on that awesome list. Now it's time for the Galaxy S III.
Thirsty for more Samsung Galaxy S III coverage? We just got a nice blue version of the Galaxy S III for AT&T and we're going to unbox it in this video. It's surprising to see the box design showing almost zero branding from AT&T. It's only a solid matte color with a shiny Galaxy S logo on the front. Even on the back the only AT&T branding is an AT&T globe icon. It doesn't say AT&T anywhere.
As you can clearly see in the image above, the phone outlined on the left is exactly the phone pictured on the right, which means that the LG VS950 is indeed the LG Optimus VU — or a variant of some sort. On this exact same note we can draw the conclusion that the LG VS950, aka LG Optimus VU, is heading to Verizon, at least according to FCC.
There’s no mention of the “Optimus VU” moniker though, but the filing reveals that the VS950 is packing NFC and LTE band 13 plus GSM 850/1900MHz compatibility. LG introduced its 4:3 aspect ratio phablet with the [...]
One of RIM's options for survival would be to follow Nokia's example and strike a strategic alliance with Microsoft to deliver BlackBerry handsets running on the Windows Phone platform.
Starting August 15, Google Play Store access to Flash Player updates will be limited to certified devices, which are basically those that ship with the Flash Player out of the box.
"We are excited about Android Jelly Bean and are planning to support it across a variety of our devices", said HTC.
According to Hugo Barra, Director of Product Management for Android, the pre-orders are going very well and Google has every reason to be excited.
I’ve turned an HTC One X into one of my two daily drivers for the last two or three weeks. Not that I didn’t enjoy the company of my old Galaxy Nexus, but I’m on the list of people that really do enjoy HTC Sense. I know it’s either a love-or-hate relationship for many of you, but Sense is the best of many worlds for me. It has all the social integration I love about Windows Phone 7, all the polish that attracts me about iOS, and it’s running on the fluidity and openness that I’ve come to enjoy about Android.
Sadly, the year is 2012. For many of you [...]
The Google Play Store now features downloadable movies and magazines- the perfect kind of content you'd want to make available if, say, your company just launched a 7" tablet. But the fun times aren't confined to the Nexus 7 owners; the new Google Play Store experience will soon be made available to all Android users. I decided to take the new store for a test drive on both my Galaxy Nexus LTE and a Sprint Galaxy S III. I took a lot of pictures. You should see them.
