The long-awaited Pocket PC 2002 update for Jornada 560 series Pocket PCs has finally arrived. On the website, you’ll find the American version of the Firmware update and the Microsoft EUU1 update. As I mentioned in my previous post about the Firmware update, it does in fact fix the button problems with the Jornada 560 series Pocket PCs as well as the sound problem where a “pop” is heard. Both of the updates come in the form of .CAB files, available for download. Hewlett Packard strongly suggests that the Firmware update be installed prior to the installation of the [...]

Generally, when I go outside,
if I take my Pocket PC and my cell phone, I feel that
I am pretty well armed to handle any situation that
comes my way. That is, if I need to contact someone,
I look up the person in the contacts on my iPAQ, and
phone them up on my mobile. This is also true if I
need to remember to do something. [...]
Mike Wagstaff writes that Hewlett Packard has released a Firmware update for the Jornada 560 series Pocket PCs that supposedly fixes any button problems and “enhances the performance of the button and audio drivers and hp backup software.” I’m in the midst of downloading the update, and will post feedback in this post’s thread when I’ve installed it.

a problem that made it impossible to read from or write to built-in storage after use of a dial-up connection. Attempting to write to or read from built-in storage following use of a dial up connection causes an error, after which it is impossible to use built-in storage unless the CASSIOPEIA is reset.
Instructions on installation are available on the website.
