The Zune HD has been around for a while and many recognize it as the precursor to Windows Phone 7. Well, just this week it finally got an email client so that you can now check your email on the Zune HD! That’s the good news. The bad news is that it doesn’t really work that well. For instance, my Exchange 2003 email simply would not download and it was practically impossible for me to set up an IMAP or POP3 email account with custom server settings. For some reason the email client only supports Exchange (probably 2007+), Windows Live, and Gmail. There’s no real contact syncing either so don’t expect to easily be able to type some one’s name and send them an email. You can however, read and reply to emails that you recieve. It’s also kind of annoying that the app has to re-download all of the emails in your account everytime you access it.
