I hadn’t read the term Hard Reset in a while. If you remember our coverage a couple of days ago, new discoveries have found that a specific string can lock your Messaging hub for good if somebody sends you an SMS with it. Well further investigation on the matter has found that this flaw is not device specific, and that it actually can affect additional parts of the OS.
So far Microsoft has not offered any sort of explanation on this subject, nor a fix. The only way you can fix your phone is if you restore it to factory settings, or as we used to call it years ago, run a Hard Reset. We honestly still haven’t come across the string that causes this to test the problem out, but I think all of us are safer if we don’t know it anyways.
