We all know Microsoft pretty much nailed it all with the updates that we received with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. All the next features we look forward to mainly have to do with newer generation hardware being supported, but it seems that the guys in Redmond want more. A recent job listing points to their search for a software engineer in charge of a new Windows Phone Backup, Migrate and Restore team.
Doing all this on your computer is a charm at the moment, but this could mean that their now searching for better ways to support this in the cloud. We’re not sure if this will be one of the key features we could expect for Apollo, since Tango is simply too close to even be a consideration. It’s taken Android and iOS years to get this right, so I wouldn’t cross my fingers and expect this to become a reality in a mid-term time frame.
