Here we are, thirteen months after the initial launch of Windows Phone, a couple of minor and a major update later, the Windows Phone Marketplace has reached an important milestone.
40,000 apps are now available in the App Store and, while we all know that it always comes down to quality and not quantity, it’s nevertheless a steady growth. The monthly average is almost at 3,100 apps and, as you can see from the image above, the tendency for growing is certainly there. Nothing like Google’s Android Market or Apple’s iTunes App Store with more than 500,000 apps, but it’s safe to assume that most of the important apps are either already here for Windows Phone users or coming soon.
