Microsoft’s “really” ad campaign for Windows Phone 7 launched with a handful of teasers, where not much of the phone or its features were mentioned. This, of course, caused some critics to surface and blast the ads for concentrating too much on humor and doing a poor job of explaining why Windows Phone 7 will “save us from our phones.”
Well, now we’re starting to see the next phase of ads in which we get a glimpse of some WP7 features, as well as the funny “really” moment. In the Samsung Focus ad posted below, which takes place during a soccer match, the focus begins on the Windows Phone 7 Start screen and live tiles. A proud father wants to get back to watching his son play soccer, so he demonstrates how he can quickly and efficiently use his Windows Phone to stay connected to his friends, without being distracted from what’s important in his life. Then the “really” moment occurs, which I won’t spoil for you. Enjoy the clip!
