From what we’ve seen so far, you can’t customize the wallpaper for the Start screen or programs list in Windows Phone 7. The wallpaper will either be black or white, based on the selected system color scheme (light/dark). You can change the wallpaper of your lock screen and the pictures hub, but no where else. Adding custom wallpaper is an easy way for users to feel that they can personalize their device, and hopefully Microsoft considers this and rolls out a custom wallpaper feature in future versions of Windows Phone 7. What say you?
