After a long time of holding your breath, it’s finally here: Windows Phone 7 ported to HTC HD2. The Dark Forces Team announced that the port is ready and a release should be coming any time now so if you are tired of Android on your HD2, you might want to give Windows Phone 7 a shot.

While you’ll get some basic functionality (like phone, text, email, camera, etc.), Windows Live functions including the Market don’t work and this is most probably due to Microsoft’s security policy which has been reportedly cracked (so we might see full functionality soon).

After Windows Mobile 6.5 and various versions of Android, we have Windows Phone 7 also on the HTC HD2. Yes, we know it’s THE device, we just have to wait and see how Redmond’s latest and greatest runs on the smartphone on the long run. Meanwhile check out a video below (more at the source link):
