Well, a bit far from Three UK’s leaked document, advertising the availability of “over 2,000″ apps ready in the Marketplace by October 21, 2010, date of Windows Phone 7 handset launch, but still good in terms of applications available for a brand new platform and Microsoft is being realistic expecting 1,000 apps available in the Marketplace by the time Windows Phone 7 devices launch in the U.S. on November 8.
Numaris has made an excellent job in analyzing and breaking down the applications available (roughly) in the Marketplace in the last couple of days – till the 21st, recording the available programs in comprehensive tables and charts following the evolution of submissions, sorting by categories and sub-categories as well as price. Currently there are 290 $0.99 apps and 237 free ones with prices going as high as $29.99 as well as there are 217 Games, 95 Tools and 81 Entertainment programs already submitted. To check the whole analysis, head over to Numaris’ website and leave us a comment with your thoughts on the apps and their prices.
