Visual voicemail is a graphic representation of voicemail received. Think of it as a list of all voicemail messages you can easily glance at and operate, in either transcribed or non-transcribed shape. According to latest rumors, Visual Voicemail might be coming to Windows Phone 7 once Mango update rolls-out.
The information comes from an unofficial twitter account so treat accordingly. Visual Voicemail is a feature that Apple’s iPhone running iOS already supports and it’s also there on Google Android powered smartphones via third-party apps. Make sure to add Visual Voicemail (but treat as a rumor for the moment) to the list of features Mango will bring: Twitter integration, IE9, fast app switching, Bing Audio, Bing Video, turn-by-turn navigation, podcast support, dictation support, messenger support, Skydrive sync for Office hub, more languages and (maybe) integrated Skype support.
