Adobe’s PDF reader is an old acquaintance on Windows Mobile platforms and it was the way to open and read Adobe’s Portable Document Format. There were several versions and the more recent ones also supported text reflow for proper reading while zoomed in.
Adobe announced today the Adobe Acrobat X software family which includes Acrobat X, Reader X and the Acrobat X Suite as well as new document exchange services at Acrobat.com. Adobe Reader X will expand “PDF access to mobile devices with free Adobe Reader X for Android, Windows Phone 7 and Blackberry Tablet OS. Safer viewing of PDF files with new Protected Mode security capabilities in Reader X“.
I was also unveiled that users can expect the product to ship “within 30 days” but is yet unknown whether it will be available for download in the Marketplace by the end of the time-frame. Regardless of when it will hit your device, it will be for sure a must have since Windows Phone 7 appears to not support PDF files natively.
