Around 48 hours left until the October 11 event where Microsoft will launch Windows Phone 7 but according to the rumors, US will still see Windows Phone 7 devices after they are launched in Europe.
That being said, there was still no certain confirmation date as per when the handsets featuring Microsoft’s platform will be available but thanks to a snapshot of a document belonging to carrier Three UK, we now know that October 21 is a date rumored for UK availability. Besides the spelling error of “Windows 7Phone” we learn that a certain device with a Super AMOLED screen of diagonal 4 inch and 5MP camera is on its way and both the Super AMOLED technology and the diagonal hint towards a Samsung device named Cetus, rumored also for AT&T.
The document also hints that the Marketplace to which the device will have access to will feature over 2,000 applications at launch, which is a number that might raise comments on both sides. What do you think? “2,000 already at launch” or “only 2,000 ready at launch”?
