We already know that carrier AT&T stated they will be the “premier carrier” for Windows Phone 7 and they set bold targets of selling 8 million devices powered by the upcoming mobile platform from Microsoft. We also know that according to a “very reliable source”, Windows Phone 7 will be launched in the US on November 8 this year and that same source indicated the October 11 event held in NYC is completely unrelated to Windows Phone.
Looks like the source is either wrong or there will be another event on the same October 11 date we don’t know about yet, since there are rumors that say Microsoft will unveil Windows Phone 7 devices on October 11 and AT&T is set to offer them four weeks later, that is November 8. Whether October 11 is all about unveiling and November 8 is about actual availability we don’t know yet but for sure something Windows Phone will be going on as the tension rises the closer we get to those dates.
