Way back in March, we first learned that Netflix was working on an application for Windows Phone 7. It looked quite good and had a smooth Metro interface. Fast forward several months, and the free Netflix app is finally available. While the interface has changed a bit from how remember it, it’s still quite nice. The application is exclusively for streaming, so don’t expect to manage your online queue. If you’re already a Netflix customer, you already know that the selection of streamable movies is quite good, and the mobile app brings forth this great selection. Quality was quite good over WiFi and buffering was quite fast, but naturally over 3G, quality takes a dip and buffering takes a while longer (about five times longer, to be exact).
