Fable Coin Golf has been out on Windows Phone 7 for a couple weeks now and we’ve been very impressed with it. The game is kind of a cross between shuffleboard, pinball, and miniature golf. The object is to push the puck into the hole at the end of the board, but what makes it interesting is that sometimes there are different powers that you can apply to the puck and sometimes there are enemies that push the puck in different directions. What’s really entertaining is the dialog between three characters that help to introduce you to each puzzle.
The game also allows you to earn coins that will translate to money that you can spend in Fable 3 on the Xbox console. You can also unlock weapons that you can use in Fable 3 and the Windows Phone 7 game will list things that you can buy when you get back to the Xbox. Of course you can also earn Xbox LIVE achievements as well.
The game costs $4.99 in the Windows Phone Marketplace and if you look at the reviews or download the free trial, you’ll probably see that’s it’s worth the money even if you don’t play Fable III on the Xbox 360.
