There’s a lot of excitement and frustration in the world of Windows Phone 7 when it comes to updates and new features. We want everything and we want it now! One thing that might make the waiting a little more bearable is knowing how long you have to wait before hearing news about what you might be waiting for.
WinRumors has found a few details about when Microsoft might be revealing some of their plans for new versions of Windows Phone 7. For example, Microsoft is holding a Developers Day in London on May 25th.
Microsoft is describing the event as a peek at the future and what lies ahead for Windows Phone. “As well as new capabilities, we’ll examine any changes to the tools and SDK and explore what opportunities these might create,” says Microsoft. “At this stage we’re unable to elaborate any further but expect it to be a day packed-full of inspiring information.”
Also, according to Achim Berg, Corporate Vice President of Windows Phone Marketing, you can expect to see some details on Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Phone at the MIX 2011 conference April 12-14 in Las Vegas. Berg also mentioned that Microsoft does not want to reveal too much too soon in order to avoid competitors copying them (which they certainly will try to do.)
