A new report has Verizon releasing its first Windows Phone 7, the HTC 7 Trophy (as the HTC Trophy, minus the 7), in late March, around the same time as Sprint’s HTC Arrive (a.k.a. the 7 Pro). According to WinRumors, Verizon could announce the handset as soon as Monday. Arrive is expected to be released on March 20th, running WP7 NoDo, the platform’s first major update.
Microsoft had stated prior to the first device rollout that WP7 would be GSM-only for the first several months, with the initial CDMA handsets not coming until the first half of this year. Sprint announced the Arrive yesterday, so this new information lines up nicely with what we already know.
