TransparentSMS for Windows Mobile is Like RoadSMS
As much as we love augmented reality applications, we are strongly against texting while driving so please don’t do that in order to protect your own and other people’s safety and lives!
TransparentSMS is an augmented reality application similar to RoadSMS application for Android, which will allow you to send a text message and while doing that, the screen background will show you whatever is ahead (or below) your Device, using real time images from the camera.
On top of the images received from the Device’s camera you will have the QWERTY (or another type) keyboard overlaid. The buttons are nice an big so there’s no need to worry about frequent typing errors but, at least on our HTC HD2, it seems impossible to text with one hand and sometimes one hand covers the camera blocking the information received.
There are several options you are able to set, starting from device orientation, haptic feedback and camera image rendering options. All in all, it’s a nice application and I’m sure you’ll be able to find good use for it as long as you don’t text and drive!
