It’s no secret that Microsoft sometimes developes software for competing platforms and often snubs their own products in the process. This time we’ve got David Mendlen, Senior Director of Developer Marketing at Microsoft, who’s created a Windows Phone 7 app for TiVo. The software is $1.99 in the Windows Phone Marketplace and it works with Series 3 and above TiVo HD boxes. It allows you to see what shows have been recorded on your TiVo and allows you to set new shows to be recorded in the future as well as see the current TiVo recording schedule.
Wouldn’t it be cool if Microsoft made something like this that worked with their own superior Windows Media Center product?
