In a blog post last week where Microsoft announced the distribution of the 7392 security update for SSL certs, Eric Hautala also mentioned that some AT&T Samsung Focus owners did still not receive the NoDo update besides the update for the Samsung Omnia 7 being halted. One week later, things seem appear to be wearing the same status tag.
Microsoft’s GM, Customer Experience Engineering, updated again bringing unfortunately no good news: “I know some of you are eager for news on the Omnia 7 and Focus issues I discussed last week. We’re making progress, but I don’t have anything new to report just yet. As soon as I do, I’ll let you know“. This is starting to become a rather serious issue as we’re currently in the middle of May and the March update is still missing for some users. We’re not going to write on and on about how we think this is unacceptable but this time, and from now on, we just hope Microsoft learns its lesson and does things right next time.
With so many great features being announced and leaked for Windows Phone 7 Mango, building up the momentum and excitement, Microsoft doesn’t want an angry user base but a rather happy and growing one.
