Sony showed off a pair of concept tablets at CES earlier this year, with one of those being a QWERTY-equipped slider dubbed “Hybrid.” Well we’ve seen some material that suggests Sony is poised to bring Hybrid to market under the Vaio U brand; you may recall that Sony’s U and UX lineups have included some of the most powerful ultraportables ever made.
It wasn’t clear when the Windows 7-powered slate would launch — no Android here, S and P fans — nor what it would cost. We do know that it will sport Intel Core silicon and likely include a stylus for the pen input that’s returned to fashion lately. Keep your eye peeled on sony.co.uk/thinkdo, which is supposedly the microsite dedicated to this tab.
Engadget has a gallery of the Hybrid prototype from CES if you’re interested in seeing how the device has evolved.
