Skype for Windows Phone was available as a Beta since February 27 and those of you who were using the application on your Windows Phones since day one can now update to build 1.0, as the app has reached its final version.
You may need to uninstall your current Beta in order to install the final version which brings a couple of new features and improvements but, as reported, it is still not able to receive calls while in the background. However, you can search the Marketplace for “Skype” or follow the source link below to grab the application.
One word of note: from the official Skype blog we find out that “your Windows Phone requires a minimum of 512MB of memory to install and use Skype”. Looks like bad news for upcoming, low-end, cheap Tango phones?
