While SkyDrive is already pretty nicely integrated with Windows Phone 7.5, some people still wanted more. Today, Microsoft announces the SkyDrive app for Windows Phone as well as a version for the iPhone! It should be avialable sometime today, so keep an eye out.

In Windows Phone you already have some access to SkyDrive in your Office Hub where you can see all the files there and open any Office documents, sync OneNote notebooks etc. You've also got access to all the photo albums on SkyDrive in the Pictures hub, which also supports streaming videos off of SkyDrive. The new app gives you much more control over file management operations in your SkyDrive. You can now create and delete folders as well as share specific items right there within the app.

In addition to the file management and link sharing capabilities, the iPhone version also lets you manually upload pictures and videos to SkyDrive.
