Samsung Focus 1.4 owners, your salvation is nearly here! Last week Microsoft updated us all that it had finally gotten the long-overdue NoDo update to this particular Focus revision into the testing phase. It looks like everything went smoothly, as Microsoft has posted today that testing is complete, and the update will be going out in the near future.
Just when Focus 1.4 users on AT&T will see NoDo hasn’t been precisely determined yet, but it’s currently being worked out, and Microsoft promises to post an update as soon as it has more information for Focus users (expected within the next day).
When it’s finally ready, this one will be a biggie, first installing WP7 update 7008, followed by 7392. The most recent update, 7392 includes includes the NoDo features from 7390 along with the follow-up SSL security patch.
Lets hope Samsung and Microsoft have learned their lessons here, and that when it comes time for the Focus to get Mango, all versions of the smartphone are able to successfully update.
