We showed you earlier how OpenTable’s new Windows Phone App shows up in the “Apps” tab for restaurants so that you can easily do a search for that restaurant’s name in the OpenTable app, but now it seems that restaurants who are known to be part of the OpenTable network have a dedicated “Reserve a Table” button right in their contact cards. That makes it even easier to make reservations at restaurants that you may be searching for using Bing, Local Search, or Bing Maps on Windows Phone 7.5. The “Reserve” button will go straight to the restaurant’s profile in the OpenTable app with easy access to the “select date, time and party size” button.
This extensive ability to integrate 3rd party apps with business information cards in Windows Phone 7.5 could open up a lot of interesting possibilities. I imagine 3rd party GPS Navigation apps could create their own “Navigate to” buttons here as well.
