Pandora – offering mobile applications for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Palm Pre and Windows Phone 6.x devices – says they have no Windows Phone 7 plans for the popular interned radio service.
Basically with Windows Phone 7 being the only platform they don’t have an app for (Symbian aside), we just can’t help but wonder whether it has something to do with no multitasking functionality for third party apps or is Pandora playing the waiting game and looking for hints of platform popularity? The tweet was simple: “We don’t have plans for a #wp7 app”. Is it for the near future or is it more like ever? With Windows Phone 7′s Zune integration – and the access to music a Zune Pass gives you – would you even consider using Pandora if it had a dedicated app?
Pandora tweeted again with some clarification which unfortunately didn’t shed any light on the issue: “Didn’t mean to sound like we’ll never be on #Win7. I’m not aware of the if/when”.
