One of the reasons why Windows Phone isn’t as successful as some expected it to be is the rather low carrier support and interest. Orange UK on the other hand has teamed up with Microsoft to try and push the platform a bit and it is now offering free applications for customers.
The British carrier is giving away applications worth of £70 to all Windows Phone customers over the course of July that have a contract or pay-as-you-go subscription. There will be a total of 31 premium applications given away, one each day, ranging from games to sport and travel information. These will be available from the Orange Selects folder inside Marketplace on Windows Phones. This list will be updated every day with the top app available to be downloaded for free.
