Around the same time we told you that, according to Paul Thurott, there might be no Mango
Mary-Jo Foley reports hearing from Microsoft that Redmond has announced its Carrier and OEM partners telling them to expect Mango code by early fall. Granting the code in that time frame would allow Microsoft partners to prepare and ship Windows Phone 7 Mango — rumored Windows Phone 7.5 — hardware in time for the 2011 holiday season. That would also allow us to see some Nokia Windows Phones this year.
With people hearing different things these days, we can’t stop but wonder when will the actual NoDo update start rolling out? Should be this week after Steve Ballmer’s MWC indication as well as current rumors of Samsung Focus devices getting it today.
