We were just talking about what we might hope to learn about upcoming Windows Phone releases at Nokia World later this month, and so far have been focusing on the Sea Ray and Sabre. Another name of a potential Nokia Mango phone just showed up in a leak, but is it something new or just another name for a handset we’ve already heard of?
A screenshot purporting to be an Orange France list of upcoming handsets includes mention of the Nokia Sun. According to the available specs, the phone will have a 1.4GHz processor, 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, eight-megapixel rear camera, and 16GB of storage on its microSD card. Orange is expecting for the Sun to arrive during the second week of November.
Problem is, with all the standardization in place for Windows Phone 7 hardware, these specs don’t really give us enough to say if this might be the Sabre or the Sea Ray; at this point, they’re both possibilities. Considering there’s just about a month before the Sun is supposed to rise, we won’t have much longer to be in the dark (puns intended).
