Nokia SeaRay Pops Up On Mobile Speed Test

The Nokia SeaRay is the first Windows Phone made by the company that was shown off by Stephen Elop himself. At that time, it was a Nokia N9 with a Windows Phone port but later it appears that the manufacturer has adapted the phone in order to suit Redmond’s platform better.

The Nokia SeaRay clocked 1211kbps in dslreport’s mobile speed test and, as you can see in the screenshot above, it was running on AT&T (judging by the mycingular.net domain). The user agent reported is Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows Phone OS 7.5; Trident/5.0; IEMobile/9.0; Nokia; SeaRay). We’re not sure whether the SeaRay will hit shelves with this denomination or Nokia will apply its number coding to Windows Phones too. As far as the network is concerned, it might be an early indication of it coming to AT&T or it might be nothing at all since the phone most probably has a penta-band radio just like the N9.

Note: The SeaRay might have been pushed back in the results page for the mobile speed test.
