Nokia recently acknowledged the problems some of its users rocking a Lumia 800 Windows Phone are experiencing in terms of poor battery life and, aside from telling people how to find out if their phone is affected, Espoo also promised a fix.

According to a memo received by Italian carrier 3 Italia, there will be a software update pushed out and available on January 18 to address the issue. The memo refers to Cyan and Magenta variants of the Lumia 800 but if you want to find out whether you are going to need the refresh, dial ##634#, go to Battery Status and see if the full charge capacity reads below 1000mAh.
