We recently learned just which smartphone models Nokia may be preparing to show off at this year’s Mobile World Congress, including the Lumia 900 and Lumia 610. There’s another Lumia model that we’ve talked about in the past but haven’t heard much about lately, one that’s starting to make some noise again. Could Nokia be planning on using the MWC to demonstrate this supposed Lumia 719, as well?
We last mentioned the Lumia 719 just before our coverage of the CES began, when we were still trying to work-out what Nokia would have to display at that event. We had heard of the 719 as a mid-range device, not so different from the 710 in that regard. After signs of the phone failed to materialize at the CES, in favor of the Lumia 900, it seemed like that might be all we would hear of the model. Now, the 719 returns in a Bluetooth SIG filing, making it once again appear to be on-track for release.
The details on the 719 revealed through the Bluetooth SIG mirror the 710′s specs, including a 3.7-inch ClearBlack display and a five-megapixel main camera. For the moment, at least, we’re struggling to identify how the 719 might differ at all from the 710. The only other bit we know about the 719 from this paperwork is that is should end up in Asia and the Americas; no word on a European release.
