Windows Phone fans in the US are understandably excited about the Lumia 710‘s rapidly-nearing debut on T-Mobile. With the 800 still waiting in the shadows, the 710 will be the first chance Americans get to check out a Nokia Windows Phone device. If you were hoping to get your hands on one early, we saw one lucky owner put a single 710 up on eBay near the end of last month; unfortunately, the auction was stopped before it had a chance to run its course. While we may all have to keep waiting until January 11 for some access to the 710, it looks like T-Mobile is in full-swing of getting ready for those sales, with the handsets already starting to arrive at stores.
Clearly, these boxes aren’t meant to be sold until next week, and T-Mobile’s computers probably wouldn’t let the purchase go through even if you found a clueless sales associate unaware of the phone’s proper launch plans. That said, we do occasionally hear about users managing to buy phones a little early; we’re not advocating you go harass the nice folks at T-Mobile for the next week, but that’s where the phones now are, if you feel like trying your luck.
The Nokia Lumia 710 will be available for just about $50 on-contract.
