While the reveal of the Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 at Nokia World went over swimmingly, there was at least one Windows Phone handset Nokia didn’t elect to show-off. We’ve heard about the possibility of this model being the Nokia Ace, or maybe the Nokia (Lumia?) 900, but a new entry in the “I’m a WP7!” logs reveal another possibility at a code name, mentioning the Nokia Champagne.
We first heard rumors about the Ace at the beginning of October, which mostly consisted of hardware specs. Then, right before Nokia World, a supposedly leaked document showed the so-called 900, but doubts have been raised as to the image’s authenticity. Most recently, Nokia displayed an image of a Windows Phone handset on its UK Facebook page that doesn’t match any of the Lumias.
This Nokia Champagne could be any one of these mystery models. All we know about it from its logfile entry is that it’s on Windows Phone build 7.10.8711, making it a Tango model. Could this maybe be the LTE-capable 800 we just heard about? For now, we’re just going to have to keep guessing.
