If you’re running Windows Phone Mango Beta or you have seen our tutorial on how to get it on your phone, you definitely noticed the new Windows Phone logo featured during the boot-up process. It replaces the old Windows orb with a Live Tile-esque square Windows logo.
We know that Microsoft will market its mobile platform as “Windows Phone” (sans version numbers and codenames) and it appears that, with the Mango release coming soon, they have settled on a new logo to go with it. It reiterates the minimalistic concept behind Metro and the Live Tiles and, straight from the first glance, gives you a rough indication of what to expect once you hold the product. Do you like the path Microsoft’s Marketing chose to follow?
