HTC has a remarkable Windows Phone line-up but, as we all know the Taiwanese manufacturer, they are continuously working on new smartphones and keep releasing them one after the other. A new HTC-made Windows Phone was pictured in an official Windows Phone Blog post and we don’t think you’ve seen this before.
Looking beyond the Copy and Paste functionality the Blog post wants you to see, you’ll instantly notice the three Windows Phone buttons below in a capacitive and also redesigned manner. They’re still your typical Back, Windows and Search buttons but with a little bit of “innovation” to them. At the top you’ll see the HTC logo and if you bump the brightness of the picture you’ll see either a sensor or a front facing camera.
The numbers at the bottom clearly indicate this device is a prototype and, as with the Samsung Taylor and other developer devices, it might not see the commercial light of day but it might as well be a Wave 2 device following the new Chassis specs and launching with Mango. For what it’s worth, it’s not the Ignite nor the Prime we’ve previously seen.
Update: As Surur points it out, it’s probably a pre-production or prototype of the HTC Trophy. You can see hints of it if you look at the speaker grill with multiple tiny holes. Still the button design looks different, in a good way.
