You may remember moTweets as a great twitter app for the old Windows Mobile 6.x platform. Well, Panoramic software is back with a new version of moTweets rebuilt from scratch for the new Windows Phone 7 platform. The new Twitter app has some unique features that other Twitter apps may have neglected. For example, moTweets has a live tile that shows the number of direct messages and mentions that you may have for each account. It updates every hour, so it’s not push and it doesn’t have push toast notifications, but maybe you don’t care to be notified instantly and would rather just see at a glance how many new messages you have.

There are two versions in the Marketplace. One is $0.99 and does not have ads, while the free version does have ads at the top.
