This week’s Xbox LIVE game for Windows Phone is Monster Island. This is another port from Miniclips.com with a few extra Xbox LIVE features. You’ve got a store built into the game where you can spend the coins that you earn in the normal levels on new monsters, unlocking levels, level skips, or solutions. You can even buy extra coins with Microsoft Points in case you really want to make the game easier.

The game play itself is a lot of fun. It’s very similar to Fragger where as you touch the screen and drag left or right to set the strength of your throw and up or down to aim. Then when you let go, your monster will throw a mini-monster in that direction (instead of a grenade). The object is to kill the evil monsters on the island. Sometimes they’ll be underground or in other difficult to access locations and you’ll have to use a combination of different mini-monsters thrown in the right places in order to beat the level.

The game will be available tomorrow for $2.99 in the Windows Phone Marketplace and we highly recommend you try the free trial download.
