Microsoft just announced the availability of two new FREE Xbox Live games for Windows Phone 7. If you’ve been using Windows Phone 7 for a while you know that for a long time the only free Xbox LIVE game available was Flowers. Now you can download Minesweeper and/or Sudoku as well! Both support Xbox LIVE acheivements and leaderboards, both have a similar panoramic design and simplistic game-play interface design, and both are advertisement supported. The ads are not terribly obtrusive, but if you’re looking for a much cooler, well-designed version of these games, search the Windows Phone Marketplace for “Game Chest: Logic Games”. That Xbox LIVE game is $2.99, but includes Minesweeper, Sudoku, and multi-player Chess along with some challenging acheivements. It’s great to see Microsoft releasing some free Xbox LIVE games even though they don’t seem as high-quality as many of the more expensive games.
