Some sharp eyes noticed that the Nokia device featured in the image we looked at overnight differed from existing Nokia Windows Phone models, suggesting it might be the Lumia 900 we’ve heard about. Now there’s been another spotting of potentially new Windows Phone hardware, with a model that doesn’t quite line-up with existing phones being featured in a Microsoft video.
This clip comes from Microsoft’s Windows Live division in the UK, aimed at showing WP7 users how to configure their phones to access their Windows Live accounts. As the actress scrolls through the apps installed on the phone, we can see a trio of Nokia titles. It’s hard to get a sense of scale in the close-ups, but in a wider shot it’s clear this phone is much larger than the 800. Could this be another candidate for the Lumia 900?
Now, it’s entirely possible different phones were used in different shots, or maybe the production team just mocked-up a device to suit their purposes, but it’s an intriguing development all the same. We just wish there was a higher-resolution copy of the video available, so we could try to get a better look at the device and maybe someday match it against other unknown Windows Phone hardware.
