For most of us, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is now a reality, and we’ve managed to upgrade our devices without too many hiccups. Not everyone is so lucky, though, and owners of the Dell Venue Pro and version 1.4 of the Samsung Focus hardware are patiently waiting for news of the their Mango updates to arrive. We can’t yet break the good news, but at least there’s progress being made, with Microsoft updating its own Windows Phone Update Schedule page.
Both the Dell Venue Pro and Samsung Focus 1.4 on AT&T are now in the “testing” phase of their Mango updates. Granted, that will likely still mean that the eventual releases are a way’s off, but it’s progress nonetheless. Even after confirming DVP Mango release plans for both unlocked and some carrier versions, Dell had been refusing to say anything about plans for the update on AT&T. Its silence was just a little bit odd, so it’s reassuring to see that the update appears to be on-track for an eventual release.
