While T-Mobile WP7 users are enjoying their new NoDo updates, those of you who chose to go with AT&T are still waiting for the official updates to head out. Microsoft’s responded to growing concern amongst the owners of WP7 devices anxiously awaiting for updates by setting up a status page that, while not incredibly detailed, gives some idea of how far along each WP7 smartphone is in the process. Microsoft has just updated the page, giving us some more news about when to expect NoDo on the HTC Surround, LG Quantum, and Samsung Focus.
Though all three AT&T phones are still marked as in the “testing” phase of their updates, Microsoft has added the note that the “estimated testing completion date is early April 2011″. That would put the phones into the “scheduling” phase and hopefully lead up to distributing the updates sometime around the week of April 20.
Sure, you could try forcing your phone to update early with one of the many guides out there, but the vast majority of WP7 users on AT&T are going to end up waiting for the official updates. Another month to go may seem ridiculous at this point (Canadian users, for example, are already getting NoDo on the Focus) but at least Microsoft’s let us know that progress is being made.
